We are hiring Class A drivers in Rock County and southern Wisconsin for a dry van fleet that serves one large beverage brewer. You haul finished product, packaging and dunnage, run 1,500 to 2,500 miles a week, and are home every two weeks. Pay runs from about $1,000 to $2,200 a week depending on miles and experience, and your first 3 months solo carry a $1,000 weekly minimum. New CDL holders train with a paid mentor. Drivers with 6 months or more of recent experience start solo after orientation.
One customer, one team
This account has its own planners and its own driver leaders. They know the customer, they know the freight, and they know you. Packaging loads feed the production lines, so they have to arrive on time. If you take pride in being on schedule, you will fit right in.
Pay
The work
Drop and hook, preloads, live loads and live unloads. Day and night dispatch. Weekends and holidays are worked. Wisconsin winters are part of the job, and you will be trained for them. Your truck is assigned to you, about 1.5 years old on average.
Getting started
A recruiter calls and reviews your license and record. Orientation takes two days at most, with your hotel covered and your bus ticket paid back, and pays $300 once you are hired. New drivers then train 3 to 5 weeks with a mentor, about 200 to 250 hours, at $650 a week. With 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months, you skip the mentor and start solo.
Benefits after 30 days
Medical, dental, vision and prescription. 401(k) and employee stock purchase plan. Paid time off. A free online degree for you and one family member.
