Minimum starting $18.00 plus, per hour, depending on qualifications.

The Levy Company is currently hiring experienced Highway Construction Workers.  Construction Workers with a valid Texas CDL driver license are encouraged to apply. 

Highway construction workers install traffic signals, signs, and light fixtures for highway and street projects. 

No more than two traffic violations and NO DUIs or felonies with a motor vehicle in the last 5 years can appear on your driving record. Additionally, all applicants must be willing to travel throughout Texas.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed primarily in outdoor environments with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and all types of weather and temperature conditions. Constant driving of large vehicles for long distances with occasional overnight stays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequent operation of equipment with vibrating and moving parts.


• Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate tools, handles, and levers.


• Frequent and repeated lifting from ground to various heights up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items.


• Frequent and repeated exerting of force up to 100 pounds.


• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.


• Frequent walking on uneven and / or unpaved terrain.


• Frequent climbing steps, ladders, and in/out/onto vehicles.


• Frequent and repeated bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.


• Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents.


• Hearing capacity to receive, perceive, and react to common driving and construction environment noises.
