We have an All-School Qualified Classroom position (Infant/Toddler Certified, Preschool Certified, and School-Age certified qualified). The minimum experience requirement is two years, and the salary range is $19.00 to $22.03 per hour. This position has the potential to earn up to $2.00 extra per hour for a teacher-floater who can work any schedule and any classroom at the discretion of the school's operational needs, and a $5.00 per-day stipend per trip as a driver.  Salary offering is commensurate with work experience (2-5 years) and education.

Job Duties:

• Manages classroom, ensuring compliance with all MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.


• Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents, and visitors.


• Maintains attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.

• Creates and implements thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating by weekly themes and Celebree’s curriculum; manages effective classroom transitions.


• Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsels children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.


• Ensures the classroom's appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment are appropriately maintained.


• Accurately completes all classroom paperwork, e.g., Sunshine Reports, accident reports, and attendance records.


• Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns promptly, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.


• Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom and school and works with the assistant teacher and/or school director to resolve them.


• Required to drive a minivan. Clean MVR, no more than 2 points.
  

Qualifications: All the required certifications required by the MDSE Maryland Office of Child Care.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED.

 Physical Demands:
The physical demands are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the job's essential functions successfully. The job requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
