Center Aide / Custodian (New Madrid EHS)

This position is a combination of job duties for a Center Aide and Custodian.

The center custodian is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and healthful work environment at the Head Start/EHS Center facility. Cooperates with all other staff as necessary to ensure smooth operation of the center as a team member.

The Center Aide assists the preschool teacher in providing educational support in a preschool classroom setting.  The successful candidate must have experience working with young children, have the ability to work as a team, be able to work in a flexible environment. Applicant must have a High School Diploma/GED, a CDA (child development associate) credential is preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
