Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Central Supply Tech.

Hours: Full-time

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Stock Central Supply rooms. 
• Prepare various items to be sterilized. 
• Clean, package, sterilize, and distribute instruments. 
• Clean and stock procedure rooms each week as needed. 
• Unload supplies from the dock area and distribute to the proper locations. 
• Collect bio hazardous waste and package for disposal. 
• Collect linen bags
• Purchase supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements:

• Six months Central Supply work experience preferred
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted 
• Must be able to be on feet for entire shift including walking, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and walking up and down stairs
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision 
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized, detail oriented, and professional
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent time management skills
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
2. Knowledge of individual responsibilities to accurately direct callers.

Skills:

1. Adequate hearing to answer phone.

Abilities:

1. Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging.
2. Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.     

Work Environment: Fast-paced, behind-the-scenes environment focused on sterilizing, distributing, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment     

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately <10 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
