Job Description:
Responsible for collecting and entering patient information into scheduling systems. Coordinates and schedules appointments for provider offices, outpatient hospital exams, and procedures. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of appointment scheduling to support efficient patient care. Communicates effectively with patients and healthcare teams to confirm and update scheduling details.
• Answers phone calls efficiently and documents messages appropriately.
• Maintains accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
• Obtains and verifies patient demographic and financial information.
• Coordinates and schedules outpatient tests and treatments as requested.
• Pre-registers outpatient accounts for scheduled patients.
• Provides clear instructions to patients and families regarding procedures and directions.
• Ensures patients are directed to appropriate registration and treatment destinations.
• Oversees daily scheduling operations, responds to staff needs, and ensures data integrity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent experience
2-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
