Job Description - Ceremonies and Events Scheduling Specialist

Description

Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Ceremonies and Events Scheduling Specialist to support the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) G3 Staff Section at Fort Benning, Georgia. This high-visibility position coordinates all MCoE ceremonies, VIP events, and official functions from inception through execution, interfacing directly with the Commanding General, Chief of Staff, and senior officials including General Officers and Department of the Army civilian executives. The specialist serves as the command's primary ceremonies and protocol coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule all MCoE ceremonies, official functions, and VIP events including change of command, retirement, promotion, and graduation ceremonies.
  • Prepare and disseminate Memoranda of Instruction (MOIs) for all MCoE events; ensure all participants receive event guidance and support packages.
  • Coordinate with the MCoE Band for all musical support requirements at official functions.
  • Manage ceremonial equipment requests including colors, guidons, and ritual equipment through appropriate channels.
  • Schedule and coordinate academic and medical board requirements as directed by G3 leadership.
  • Brief the Commanding General, Chief of Staff, and Assistant Commandant on ceremony procedures, protocol requirements, and event schedules.
  • Interface with visiting VIP and General Officer parties to ensure all protocol requirements are met IAW AR 600-25, DA PAM 600-60, and FM 3-21.5.
  • Coordinate ceremonies IAW AR 360-1 requirements for community and public affairs events.
  • Post event notes, schedules, and after-action information to MCoE G3 SharePoint within 48 hours of each event.
  • Track and maintain the MCoE ceremonies calendar; deconflict events across the installation calendar.

Requirements

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Protocol, Military Studies, Communications, Marketing, Diplomacy, Event Management, or a closely related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Active SECRET security clearance, verifiable in DISS.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning and executing high-visibility military or government ceremonies and events.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of military protocol at the VIP and General Officer level.
  • Ability to brief and interact professionally with General Officers, SES civilians, and senior external officials.
  • Working knowledge of AR 600-25 (Salutes, Honors, and Visits of Courtesy), DA PAM 600-60, FM 3-21.5 (Drill and Ceremonies), and AR 360-1.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience maintaining event calendars and SharePoint coordination sites.
  • Strong written communication skills for MOI preparation and event documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous events under time pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior service in an Army protocol office, aide-de-camp role, or installation events coordination function.
  • Experience as an Army 79V (Retention and Transition NCO) or comparable role with significant ceremony coordination background.
  • Prior experience at a TRADOC Center of Excellence, Installation Headquarters, or General Officer-level command.
  • Familiarity with MCoE Fort Benning event calendar and organizational structure.

This is a non-personal services contract position. Contractor personnel are not Government employees and will identify themselves as contractor personnel in all communications. All contractor employees must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to beginning performance. Government will provide workspace, computers, and equipment. Telework is not authorized.
