What You’ll Do


As a Certified Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for high-quality blood collection and specimen handling for patients across all age groups, while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Collect blood samples via venipuncture for patients of all ages

  • Ensure proper identification of patients and specimens

  • Facilitate collection and transportation of specimens

  • Follow infection control standards at all times

  • Maintain quality results by following department procedures

  • Support a safe, secure, and compliant work environment

  • Travel to other CommWell Health sites as needed to support operations 

     




What We’re Looking For


Required:



  • HS Diploma or GED

  • Current Phlebotomy Certification   

  • BLS Certification (American Red Cross or AHA)

  • Valid NC driver’s license + clean driving record (approved for driving privileges)


Preferred: 



  • One (1) year of clinical experience in a primary care, community health, or outpatient setting

  • Experience with underserved or rural populations

  • Spanish speaking preferred (not required)
