Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and family dynamics. This role requires a strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and the ability to foster a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Duties

Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.

Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health, addiction recovery, and family dynamics.

Utilize evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and behavior management techniques.

Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Stay informed about developments in social work, addiction medicine, and mental health counseling through ongoing research and professional development.

Facilitate workshops or support groups as needed to promote community engagement and education.

Qualifications

A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.

Experience in child family counseling is a plus.

Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records effectively.

Strong skills in behavior management and motivational interviewing techniques.

Knowledge of addiction medicine principles is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in counseling practices.
