Certified Athletic Trainer - Orthofast

Ideal candidate will be required to multi-task and provide excellent patient services as an Athletic Trainer for our practice.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares the patient for exam, obtains history and proper imaging


• Assists with in-office procedures


• Splinting and casting application and removal


• Communicates with MD and PA regarding patient care


• Obtains patient clinical information through our electronic medical record system


• Accurately fits patients with Durable Medical Equipment


• Draws injections, as directed by providers


• Facilitates outside services for patient (i.e., Physical Therapy, Radiology)


• Ensures that exam rooms are properly stocked and maintained

Competencies:

• Must have current NATA certification


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.


• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality is a must


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the general public.

Qualifications:

• Must have current NATA certification.


• Two to five years as an ATC, preferably within an Orthopaedic practice is preferred.


• Communication skills are essential as this position interacts with practice providers, management team and staff members.


• Willingness to travel to several clinics on a weekly/daily basis is a must.


• Ability to work one night a week and two Saturdays a month


• Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records
