Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

This role provides an opportunity to work with individuals as they embark on their recovery journey The Medical Assistant will support our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to residents recovering from substance use and mental health disorders. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our residents during their recovery journey.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and treatment within the recovery center.


• Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating with external healthcare providers.


• Assist with new patients during their intake. (urine drug screen, walking them out to smoke, assisting them on their next step) 


• Monitor and record UDS screens and BAC results and report to providers any unexpected positive screening results. 


• Report any missed UDS screens to CEG and medical/housing chat.


• Separate and organize delivered medications at the end of day and give them to the appropriate driver.


• Maintain a clean and organized healthcare environment within the recovery center.


•  Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.


• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and compassionate care for all patients.

Education and Experience:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.


• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a recovery home or related field.
  


• Knowledge of substance use disorders and mental health issues is highly desirable

• Proficiency in Google Suite
