Dental Assistant – Oral Surgery
We are seeking a skilled and personable Dental Assistant to join our oral surgery team. In this role, you will work closely with our Doctor to provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive, comfortable experience for both patients and coworkers.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and welcome patients, creating a friendly and supportive environment.
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Set up and organize instruments, equipment, and materials for each procedure.
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and work areas.
- Assist the oral surgeon chairside during surgical procedures.
- Perform lab tasks as needed.
- Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients.
- Keep treatment areas clean, stocked, and ready for use.
- Assist with scheduling and patient records.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous dental assisting experience (oral surgery experience a plus).
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt when needed.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- High school diploma required; dental assisting school graduate preferred.
X-ray certification required.

Our practice provides procedures from wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, cone beam radiographs, diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology, facial trauma, and IV anesthesia.
