The Delaney at The Green, in Florham Park, NJ is recruiting for a Certified Fitness Instructor. In this role you will be responsible for creating a culture of wellness and fun by planning, developing, and directing personal and group exercise and fitness programs for the community residents.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Certified Fitness Instructor:

Bring the fun! Create a culture of fun everywhere you go. Under the leadership of the fitness instructor, the exercise spaces should be active, vibrant, and representative of a culture the full community is proud of.
Supervise the fitness areas ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned - promoting a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
Conduct fitness assessments, consultations, and 1-1 personalized training sessions focusing on proper form and technique.
Develop and lead group fitness classes and educational sessions focused on effective workouts, proper nutrition, and health lifestyle choices.
Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees. This is a whole-person approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational.
Ensure and exceed residents' wellness needs relating to their mind, body and soul, which may also have a positive effect on the employees, as a result.
Provide all new residents a free 15-30 minute personal training session, an orientation to the gym and overview of the fitness programs. Each new resident should leave the orientation conversation with a better understanding of how they can live well.
Communication of information to the Health Services department regarding activity participation and activity ability changes in status that may require resident Care Plan updates.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related degree
2 years experience working as a fitness instructor
Personal Trainer Certification required
CPR certification required
Nationally accredited Aerobic Certification AFAA, ACE, NASM preferred
Yoga Certification or other exercise/fitness training modality certifications preferred
