Job Title: Forklift Operator

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently operate forklifts in our warehouse or industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a commitment to safety protocols. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, moving products to and from storage areas, and performing routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment.

Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
2. Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and other storage areas using forklifts.
3. Transport materials to designated storage areas or production lines as required.
4. Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
5. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse or work area.
7. Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
8. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid forklift operator certification/license.
3. Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or industrial setting.
4. Strong knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for forklift operation.
5. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Good communication skills.
8. Physical strength and stamina to perform lifting and carrying tasks.
9. Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends, if required.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
2. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
3. Additional certifications in material handling or warehouse operations.
