Certified Hand Therapist/CHT

Job Title: Occupational Therapist / Certified Hand Therapist (OT/CHT) 

Location: CCOE-Colorado Springs (North/South offices)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Setting: Outpatient Hand Surgery Practice 

About the Position 

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in upper extremity rehabilitation to join our high-volume outpatient hand surgery practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with hand surgeons to provide high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with post-surgical and non-surgical upper extremity conditions. Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred 

Responsibilities 

• Evaluate and treat patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions in an outpatient setting 
• Provide post-operative and conservative care in collaboration with hand surgeons 
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans 
• Fabricate, modify, and fit custom orthoses 
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, precautions, and functional recovery 
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation 
• Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes 
• Flexibility to travel between clinics 

Qualifications 

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Colorado 
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred (or willingness to pursue certification) 
• Minimum 2-3 years of outpatient hand therapy experience preferred 
• Strong clinical skills in upper extremity and hand rehabilitation 
• Strong splinting skills 
• Ability to work in team dynamics 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
