Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:45 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Contract position until at least February, with potential extension

Salary: $24 per hour + benefits

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join a clinic specializing in general surgery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting a team of three doctors who focus on procedures such as breast surgery, hernia repair, and gallbladder removal. The role includes managing a patient load of approximately 30-40 individuals per day, aged 25-70, who are primarily post-surgical or attending follow-up visits.

Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare them for examination or treatment.
• Accurately measure and record patient vitals.
• Enter notes and update patient documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure efficient patient flow throughout the clinic day.
• Assist with post-operative and follow-up care under the guidance of the physicians.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Medical Assistant License.
• Prior experience with Veradigm/Allscripts electronic health record systems preferred.
• Proven ability to handle a busy clinic setting, supporting both the medical and administrative needs of a surgical practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team.

Supervision:

This position is supervised by both the practicing doctors and the practice manager.
