Job Summary
We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues, be goal-oriented, and have an interest in surgery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms for patients, record medical information, and measure vital signs, weight, and height, documenting in EMR.
- Assist the physician in all medical procedures with careful and informed medical decision-making, addressing patient queries promptly.
- Handle and respond to all patient phone calls effectively.
- Coordinate and schedule surgeries with hospitals and obtain insurance authorizations.
- Organize and manage patient charts, ensuring completeness and compliance with office policies, reviewing daily for upcoming appointments.
- Maintain exam rooms' cleanliness and organization between patients.
- Serve as a communication bridge between patients and the physician, conveying messages and triaging phone calls as needed.
- Adhere to patient record confidentiality laws.
- Fill out necessary forms for patients as directed by the physician.
- Be adaptable to front desk responsibilities and other tasks as required by the physician or manager.
- Demonstrate a long-term commitment to evolving with the practice.
- Perform laser, radiofrequency and CoolSculpting treatments after training.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Surgical Scheduling , Dermatology, Plastic Surgery experience helpful
Required experience
At least 1 year of Medical Assisting

- CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- CMA - Certified Medical Assistant with American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- RMA Registered Medical Assistant with American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
