Job Description - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Cetechs is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) We have an immediate need for a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support at the Federal Correctional Facility (FCI) in Danbury, Connecticut.

Schedule: 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m

Qualifications and Requirements:

Certified as a Medical Assistant (must have documentation of completed coursework)
Must be a US Citizen
Clinical experience working with ill patients or individuals in custody; hospital or clinic preferred
Active CPR certification (Basic Life Support)

Administrative Duties:

Respond to requests from employees and clinical staff.

File medical records and ensure documents are accurate and complete.

Retrieve medical records for both clinical and admin use.
Maintain logs and preliminary complaint records.
Accurately capture preliminary complaints during sick calls.

Clinical Duties

Obtain and accurately record vital signs.
Draw blood (phlebotomy)
Collect lab samples

Perform diagnostic testing

Perform audiometric testing (hearing)

Perform visual testing (vision checks)

Perform Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
