Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Derm Technician (CDT)

Description

We have a full time position available working in General Dermatology with an outstanding physician.  This position is currently assigned to 2 locations, working with the same physician (State Highway 249 - four days a week and our Woodlands office one day per week.) 

This is a day shift, Mon-Friday.  Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience with rooming & educating patients, obtaining procedure consents, assisting with procedures, documenting in the EMR, scribing for physician, completing patient call backs, scheduling surgeries, logging & tracking pathology, completing prior authorizations, removing sutures and other duties as assigned.  

Dermatology experience is a definite plus! 

Successful applicants will be quick thinking, team players who are passionate about helping others.  The incumbent will be a team player who is empathic, civil and respectful of all.  They will possess the ability to document accurately and quickly, have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical and medication abbreviations and have the ability to work productively as part of the team.

Requirements

Duties include, but are not limited to:   Rooming patients, educating patients & obtaining procedure consents, assisting with procedures, documenting in the EMR, scribing for physician, completing patient call backs, scheduling surgeries, logging & tracking pathology, completing PAs, removing sutures and other duties as assigned.  Successful applicants will possess the ability to document accurately and quickly, have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical and medication abbreviations and have the ability to work productively as part of the team.   

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Possess CCMA or DTECH certification or ability to obtain within 30 - 60 days of hire.   

Able to perform job duties

Able to report to work as assigned
