Certified Medical Assistant - Dermatology

Currently we have two Certified Medical Assistant or C-Dermtech positions.  One position is in our Bellaire Office and the other floats to a few locations, providing clinical relief services.   

This incumbent works with several of our  exceptional physicians, both in General/Cosmetic Dermatology and Mohs Surgery. 

A full time,  Mon-Friday position will include all benefits.  

Applicants must have experience with rooming & educating patients, obtaining procedure consents, assisting with procedures, documenting in the EMR, scribing for physician, completing patient call backs, scheduling surgeries, logging & tracking pathology, completing prior authorizations, removing sutures and other duties as assigned.  Dermatology experience is a definite plus! 

We utilize Modernizing Medicine's EMA as our EMR system.  Successful applicants will be quick thinking, team players who are passionate about helping others. They will possess the ability to document accurately and quickly, have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical and medication abbreviations and have the ability to work productively as part of the team.   Travel is reimbursed per our policies.

Requirements

Possess CCMA or DTECH certification or ability to obtain within 30 - 60 days of hire.   Able to perform job duties. Able to report to work as assigned
