Description

Responsible for providing general direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a physician. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure functionality of practice operations to provide excellent patient care. Serves as a patient advocate and assist patients in navigation along the care continuum with the goal of facilitating effective quality care and timeliness, resulting in improved patient satisfaction.


Principal Accountabilities:

Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, with various days 8:30am-4:30pm as needed for coverage

  • Traveling/Floating between ACG offices as needed. 
  • Coordinate with RN to appropriately manage clinical supplies for office
  • Assist with yearly accreditation and infection prevention tasks and other projects as needed
  • Complete heart monitor interpretation charges for office
  • Complete authorization requests for medications
  • Cleaning patient rooms: Sanitizing and reorganizing patient rooms between visits
  • Prepping examination rooms: Ensuring the exam room is ready for the patient, including disinfecting equipment and stocking supplies 
  • Excellent Communication, work ethic, active listening, adaptability to working in fast-paced environment, and hold upmost professionalism at all times.
  • Support medical record retrieval
  •  Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • National Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program. 
  • National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT.
  • Ability to travel between ACG offices as needed (Bridgewater, Warren, etc.).
     

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field.
  • 1+  year of experience in Health Care services.
  • BLS upon hire
  • EPIC or similar EMR system
  • Ability to work within computer systems
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, work ethic, active listening, and adaptability in fast-paced environment.
