Certified Medical Assistant or LPN (40 hours per week) #3272

RAMC is looking for a CMA or LPN to join them in the specialty group. This person would primarily work in Sleep Medicine, dermatology, and with consulting providers, with the opportunity to work in other specialties offered within the RAMC campus

. 
Hours: 40 hours per week!   This person will work Monday - Friday 7:30A-5:00P with some variations of start and end times.
Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or CMA provides basic nursing care (as defined in the Board of Nursing Standards of Practice) and delivers physician-delegated aspects of care to individual outpatients. He/she performs under the general supervision of the physician staffing the clinic.

Education and Training Required if LPN:

• Graduate from an accredited school for licensed practical nurses.

• Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of Wisconsin.

• Certification of completion of a pharmacology course.

• BLS certification required.

Education and Training Required if CMA:

• Graduate from an accredited school where diploma in Medical Assistant is granted.


• CMA Certification through AMAA, CCMA or NHA. 


• BLS certification required.
  

Experience: 

• Requires decision-making and problem-solving skills.


• Must be able to deal with priorities in a calm matter

Physical Requirements: 

• Frequently sit while performing the tasks of the role (Scheduling, Developing & reviewing protocols/procedures, job descriptions, etc)


• Occasionally walk and stand.


• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds while transferring and positioning patients and maneuvering equipment while using gait belts, transfer devices, etc. 


• Occasionally bend to the floor, squat, kneel, crouch and reach overhead to assist with patient care or retrieve equipment or supplies
