Certified Nurse Aide

Position Overview

Bethel Care Group is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to join our team in providing high-quality, person-centered care for residents in our long-term care facilities. CNAs play an essential role in supporting residents with their daily living needs and ensuring a clean, safe, and dignified environment. In addition to direct personal care, responsibilities include light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, mobility, and eating
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary intake
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as making beds, cleaning resident rooms, and doing laundry
• Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility policies and care plans
• Promote and maintain a respectful, supportive, and sanitary living environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas CNA certification in good standing
• Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Professional, compassionate, and resident-focused demeanor
• Successful completion of background checks and health screening required by state regulation
• Essential Physical and Health Requirements

To safely perform the duties of this role, the employee must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift)
• Lift, transfer, and reposition residents with or without assistance or adaptive equipment (up to 50 lbs independently; up to 100 lbs with assistance)
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach regularly during tasks such as dressing, bathing, and housekeeping
• Perform repetitive movements (e.g., assisting with grooming or feeding)
• Have adequate vision and hearing (corrected if necessary) to observe and respond to resident needs and alarms
• Tolerate exposure to cleaning products, bodily fluids, and various environmental conditions within the facility
• Demonstrate sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment, assist with feeding, and provide hands-on care
• Meet health screening and immunization requirements in accordance with federal, state, and facility regulations
