Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

The Lutheran Home is looking for a full-time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate healthcare community. Working 12-hour shifts, you’ll provide essential support and care to our residents, bringing comfort, dignity and compassion to every part of their day. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with daily personal care functions.
• Assist with the feeding of residents.
• Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale.
• Assist in turning and positioning of residents.
• Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen).
• Help keep residents’ rooms clean and supplied.
• Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied).
• Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
• Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
• Answer residents’ calls and take appropriate action.
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse.
• Communicate residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.

• Day shift: 6:45 am t0 7:15 pm
• Night shift: 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

• Minimum age of 18
• Current Missouri CNA Certification
