Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA/Home Health Aide to provide essential support to the client in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care to patients, particularly those requiring hospice care, memory care, or assistance due to developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support for individuals in assisted living or home settings.
- Help clients with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient health by observing and reporting changes in condition to management.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Support individuals with long-term care needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of attention and assistance.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Skills
- Experience in hospice care or familiarity with end-of-life support services is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly for those with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
