Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FT Days!

Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community offering top-quality care in a warm, welcoming environment. We are looking for an empowered and passionate CNA to join our day shift! The CNA will assist professional staff by performing various resident care activities for the personal needs and comfort of the residents. CNAs will be responsible for the delivery of resident care. This may include bathing, personal grooming, feeding, or other tasks directed by the Instructor, Manager, RN, or LPN. Along with hands-on care, they will follow department policies, procedures, safety, environment, and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for all. They must also be able to incorporate our core values of caring, empowerment, integrity, and commitment. They will also uphold the facility's goal of providing quality care in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity. 

The hours for this position will be 7:00am-7:00 pm and with a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Resident Care Responsibilities: Will provide personal care assistance to residents as directed with ADLs. Help residents with transferring, lifting, and turning in bed. Will help prepare residents for meals by serving and collecting trays, assistance in setting up and feeding residents. Record all data for food consumption, vital signs, weights, or other necessary data. Obtain urine samples and empty foley catheter bags. Regularly checks on residents ensuring comfort, dignity and privacy, responds to call bells promptly, and ensures call bell is within reach. 
• Facility Care Responsibilities: Prepare resident rooms for admission. Will help new residents adjust to their new living space and restock resident rooms. Attends all in-services and meetings as required, serves on committees as assigned.
• All other duties assigned include, but not limited to,  enhancing the Resident Experience.

• Must have a CNA license 
• Must have a CPR and AED certification 
• Ability to coordinate the duties of the nursing assistant 
• Continuing education as required
