Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Full Time Night Shift

Foxdale Village is a Quaker-directed, non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in State College, PA. Foxdale Village was founded on the values of treating every person with dignity and respect and actively strives to create an engaging and welcoming environment for all. We are seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caring and dedicated team. This CNA position works night shifts, 36 hours per week; three 12 hour shifts per week which includes every other weekend; shift hours are 6:30pm-7am.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Duties Include:

• Deliver direct care to residents according to the individualized plans of care in a timely manner.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Respond to call bells, safety devices, and resident requests in a timely manner.
• Accurately document resident care at electronic kiosks using PointClickCare.
• Maintain confidentiality of the residents.
• Identify and report changes in physical, psychological, and social well-being.
• Participate in activities, programs, and incorporate rehabilitation principles into delivery of care to the residents.
• Assume responsibility for and complete required documentation legibly and in a timely manner.
• Ability to interact with fellow Foxdale Team members, residents, and residents’ family members confidently and effectively.
• Exhibit a friendly, caring approach while dealing with staff, residents, and residents’ family members.
• Identify and report problems with equipment or other hazards immediately upon discovery.
• Provide escort services to outside appointments, as needed.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance in order to meet the daily health care needs of the residents.

Education: High school diploma or its equivalent and completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.

Experience: Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred

Physical: Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting at least fifty pounds (with assistance when needed), and supporting the residents.

Training: Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Health or certification from a state other than Pennsylvania with proof of transferring certification to Pennsylvania. Possession of a valid CPR card is required.

Additional Requirements: Must possess strong attention to detail and time management skills.
