Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Nights

DESCRIPTION

• Ensures resident hygiene daily
  


• Makes all types of beds
  


• Takes and records vital signs accurately within the shift
  


• Keeps correct intake/output when indicated
  


• Distributes trays and feeds residents as needed
  


• Alters residents position every 2 hours within shift
  


• Answers call lights immediately


• Responds in a positive manner to direction, supervision and evaluation of performance
  


• Establishes priorities and organizes work within shift
  


• Completes assignments within the shift
  


• Gives accurate report of care provided and resident’s response to nurse
  


• Demonstrates patience and tact in dealing with residents, their families and personnel
  


• Assists residents in/out of beds, chairs or wheelchairs within the shift
  


• Demonstrates good body mechanics
  


• Demonstrates awareness of hazards
  


• Keeps assigned room orderly for safe resident environment
  


• Participates in self-development programs
  


• Assists in orienting new personnel as requested
  


• Assists with post-mortem care


• Documents competency in clinical skills at least annually
  


• Provides for oral hygiene for residents as ordered
  


• Gives complete/Partial bath daily

Education/Qualifications: 

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  


• Current CNA certification in Georgia or letter of acceptance from an approved school. Must be certified at completion of course.
  

Experience: 

Six (6) months experience preferred but not required.
