Position Overview:

The Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) provides direct care, assists with daily living activities, and supports nursing staff in delivering quality healthcare to juveniles in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality nursing care to residents.
• Administer medication when/if required.
• Assist with daily living activities and hygiene.
• Report pertinent information to supervisors.
• Coordinate work with nursing and other facility staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of medical information

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure:
• Current CNA I certification in North Carolina.
• Registered with the North Carolina CNA Registry.
• CPR certification (required).
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience preferred (clinical or correctional settings a plus).
• Technical Skills: Medication administration (if required), hygiene assistance, and patient monitoring.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
