What You'll Do:

• Provide occupational therapy and habilitative services to assigned ICF/ID residents and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team.


• Implement plan of care developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, focusing on skill acquisition, adaptive functioning, and independence.


• Provide therapeutic interventions addressing activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, sensory processing, cognition, positioning, and adaptive equipment use.


• Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities using task analysis, prompting strategies, repetition, and environmental modifications.


• Provide occupational therapy services to assigned outpatients and geriatric assisted living residents to improve functional performance and safety.


• Observe, document, and report resident and patient responses to treatment, communicating changes in status to the supervising Occupational Therapist.


• Provides education and training to residents, families, and direct care staff to support therapeutic carryover into daily routines.

What's Required of You:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


• Current NBCOT certification


• Must hold or be eligible for licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy


• Community CPR certification


• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred


• Valid PA Driver’s License
