Job Description - Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant-ETCS

Everett Transitional Care Services | Everett, WA
Independence Rehab
$37-$42/hour | Flexible Schedule | Therapist-Owned Company

Help Residents Regain the Skills That Matter Most

Independence Rehab is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Everett Transitional Care Services, both located inside Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

In this role, you'll work closely with residents recovering from illness, injury, or hospitalization-helping them rebuild the everyday skills needed for independence. From dressing and grooming to cooking and mobility tasks, your work directly improves quality of life.

If you enjoy working with older adults and want to be part of a supportive therapy team, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in a meaningful setting.

Your Role on the Therapy Team

As a COTA, you'll partner with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to deliver therapy that helps residents return to safe, functional living.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Carrying out treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
• Helping residents regain independence with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Providing therapeutic exercises and functional task training
• Teaching safe techniques for dressing, grooming, bathing, and mobility
• Assisting patients with adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Tracking patient progress and documenting therapy sessions
• Communicating updates to the supervising OT and care team
• Working alongside PT, speech therapy, and nursing staff to support patient recovery

Every day offers the chance to help someone regain abilities that make daily life possible.

About the Setting

Everett Transitional Care Services is a well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation center serving the Everett community. Our therapy team treats a medically complex geriatric population and works closely with nursing and leadership to support strong patient outcomes.

You'll be part of a collaborative environment where therapists have the time and support needed to focus on patient progress.

Why Join Independence Rehab?

Independence Rehab is a therapist-owned rehabilitation company that partners with skilled nursing facilities throughout the region.

Because our leadership team includes therapists, we focus on creating an environment where clinicians feel supported and respected.

What our therapists appreciate most:

• Competitive pay ($39-$45/hour)
• Realistic productivity expectations
• Flexible scheduling options
• Strong support from corporate leadership
• Low management turnover and stable contracts
• Respect for clinical judgment
• Therapy team operates independently from nursing administration
• Positive team culture and strong patient outcomes

Training and Mentorship

We believe great clinicians are developed through strong support and mentorship.

New hires receive:

• Structured onboarding and orientation
• Documentation training and workflow guidance
• Mentorship based on your experience level
• Ongoing clinical support whenever needed

New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Benefits

Full-time team members receive a comprehensive benefits package including:

• Up to 3½ weeks paid time off per year
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Continuing education reimbursement (up to $750 annually)
• Health Savings Account (HSA) options
• Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Insurance
• Basic Life and AD&D coverage
• Optional life and disability insurance
401(k) with employer match

Qualifications

• Active Washington State COTA license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
