We Are Looking For

The primary role of the Certified Pharmacy Technician is to provide concierge-level patient care and customer service. This position is based in the dispensing area of Sona Compounding, adjacent to but not inside of the laboratory. This position will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients and filling prescriptions. Compounded pharmaceutical products differ from commercially available products as they are created according to master formulations using bulk ingredients and offer unique opportunities for patients and providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients on the phone, via text messaging, and in person at the in-store pickup location with prescriptions, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, and special orders
• Take verbal prescriptions over the phone from provider offices
• Organize pickups, deliveries, and shipments and resolve pending issues
• Assisting inventory and out-of-date management of OTC items
• Flexible participation in all aspects of the fulfillment process as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients with inquiries and referring them to a pharmacist when necessary
• Ensure the register balances after cash, check, and credit transactions
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, stock retail items, daily inventory maintenance, keep the pharmacy neat and organized
• Ensure up-to-date patient information is on file and maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality

Requirements

What will you need to succeed?

• Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service-oriented and highly organized
• Team player, yet independently motivated
• Excels in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
