Certified Recovery Peer Advocate-CPRA-Brooklyn-NY - Growth-Minded Organization

A reputable out-patient facility in the heart of Brooklyn is looking to immediately hire a Full-time or Part-time Licensed Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CPRA), preferably with a CASAC or CASAC-T credential. Pay range is $19 - $20 hourly plus a hefty benefits package that includes PTO and full health insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide recovery education to patients throughout all stages of recovery:

Pre-recovery engagement

Recovery initiation

Recovery stabilization

Sustained recovery

• Foster self-advocacy by assisting patients in communication with their recovery care team.
• Facilitate connections to community resources:

Mutual self-help groups

Other relevant support services

• Link individuals to appropriate professional resources based on their needs.
• Attend court and other system meetings as a patient support.
• Develop and manage an alumni network for program graduates.
• Organize events for current patients and alumni to support each other's recovery journey.

Qualifications:

CRPA Certified Peer Recovery Advocate with a working knowledge of substance use disorder treatment systems, support services, and a demonstrated commitment to the Recovery Community, and

License/Certification: CASAC or CASAC-T is preferred.

This position will have:

• Some flexible hours including some evening and weekend time.
• In addition, be available by phone.
• Comfortable escorting patients to offsite referrals, community services and sober support meetings.

Job Type and Schedule:

• Part Time or Full Time,
• 15-37.5 hours weekly

• $19-$20 hourly
