DUTIES:
Administer anesthesia to patients before, during and after surgical procedures
Monitor patient’s vitals signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized anesthesia plans.
Perform pre-operative assessments and obtain informed consent from patients.
Insert intravenous lines and administer medications as necessary.
Monitor patient’s responses to anesthesia and make appropriate adjustments to ensure optimal pain management and patient comfort.
Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic medical record systems such as Cerner, Epic or eClinical Works.
Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
SKILLS:
Current certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Proficient in venipuncture techniques for intravenous line placement.
Strong knowledge of acute care practices and patient management in a hospital setting.
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Cerner, Epic or eClinical Works.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the surgical team and provide clear instructions to patients.
Ability to prioritize tasks and make quick decisions in high – pressure situations.
Knowledge of sterile processing techniques for maintaining aseptic conditions in the operating room.
Expertise in acute pain management techniques.
