Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to support the Togus VA Medical Center located at 1 VA Center, Augusta, ME 04330. The schedule consists of operating room coverage 6:30am-3:00pm and includes call hours. Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing anesthesia pre-op, operative, and post-op care.
• Appropriately documenting all care per Maine VAHCS policy.
• Report to the facility within 30 minutes when on-call for airway emergencies.
• Shall provide Board Certified/Board Eligible Registered Nurse Anesthetist Services on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a state, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Perto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
• Shall be board Certified/Board Eligible by the Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
• Must have a degree in nursing from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate state accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: (a) The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), an accrediting arm of the National League for Nursing; or (b) The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of colleges of Nursing (AACN). (c) In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a Certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) will meet the requirement of graduation from approved school of professional nursing. -OR- (2) Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
• Have a current and active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS.
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation.

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift


• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist


• Lift up to 20 lbs


• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance


• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
