Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)

Description

Venesco, LLC is enthusiastically recruiting two Certified Registered Nurse Aneshetists (CRNAs) to provide services at Togus Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. CRNAs will care for veterans, making a difference in the lives of those who have served our country!

Schedule:  Regular Weekday Coverage consists of operating room (OR) coverage 6:30am 3:00pm. Call hours for CRNA’s are 3:00pm-12a and 12a 6:30am.  

Duties: 

1. The contractor will be responsible for providing anesthesia pre-op, operative, and post-op care. 2. The contractor will be responsible for appropriately documenting all care per Maine VAHCS policy.

3. The contractor will be responsible for reporting to the facility within 30 minutes when on-call for airway emergencies.

4. The contractor shall provide Board Certified/Board Eligible Registered Nurse Anesthetist Services on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veteran Affairs.
5. The contractor will be responsible for providing anesthesia pre-op, operative, and post-op care. 6. The contractor will be responsible for appropriately documenting all care per Maine VAHCS policy.

7. The contractor will be responsible for reporting to the facility within 30 minutes when on-call for airway emergencies.

Requirements

1. Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse Program, and a mster's degree from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs (COA).

2. Board Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology. 

3. Life Support Certifications: Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

4. Licensure: Must hold current, active, unrestricted CRNA license from one of the 50 US states or Territories.

5. DEA: Must hold current DEA registration.

6. Technical Proficiency: Shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements. 

7. Continuing education: Maintain continuing medical education requirements.
