Certified Special Educator Needed

• Adjust and tailor curriculum content and teaching materials to address the varied learning styles and needs of students.
  


• Track and record student performance, refining instructional approaches and interventions as needed to promote growth.
  


• Apply assessment techniques, deliver targeted lessons, and maintain strong, clear communication with both students and families.
  


• Offer training and guidance to school personnel and families on best practices for supporting bilingual learners with special education needs.
  


• Ensure meticulous record-keeping and documentation in line with district guidelines and special education compliance standards.
  


• Engage actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other collaborative sessions, providing clear and informative updates.
  


• Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and support teams to foster inclusive classroom environments and enhance student outcomes.
  


• Deliver direct instruction and individualized support across a variety of educational settings, including mainstream classrooms, resource rooms, and specialized self-contained environments.
  


• Design, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring adherence to all relevant state and federal mandates.
  

Requirements

1. Valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education.
   


2. Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
   


3. Strong knowledge of early childhood development and behavior management strategies.
