Certified Sterile Processing Technician-PRN

Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation, sterilization devices, instrument washers and monitoring systems.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician


• 3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician required.


• Preferred experience with daVinci Robot, eye surgery and endoscopy as well as experience with all types of sterilizers. Knowledge of operating room instrumentation.


• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.


• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer, Sterrad sterilizers.


• Current BLS certification required.


• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.


• Promotes Environment of Care/Patient Safety.
