Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR) – Full-Time, Days | Las Vegas, NV

Salary: $42.22 – $63.35 per hour (based on years of experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Days | 4x10s or 3x12s (based on department needs)
Rotating Weekends Required
On-Call: 1 weekday per week + 1 weekend per month
On-Call Pay: $6.00/hour
Call-Back Pay: Minimum 2 hours at 1.5x base rate + 1 hour travel pay
Shift Differentials:

• Evening: +$1.50/hour

• Night: +$2.10/hour

• Weekend: +$1.50/hour
  Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Position Overview

Join a high-performing cardiovascular surgery team in one of Nevada’s most advanced operating departments. As a Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR, you will directly assist cardiovascular surgeons in open-heart and other cardiothoracic procedures, helping maintain a sterile surgical environment and ensuring every case runs smoothly and efficiently.

This is a full-time role with strong compensation, competitive on-call and callback structure, and opportunities to work in one of the busiest surgical centers in the Southwest.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage surgical instruments, sterile supplies, scopes, and equipment during cardiovascular and open-heart procedures

• Scrub and assist during complex cardiothoracic cases under direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician

• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and universal surgical safety protocols

• Set up sterile fields and monitor aseptic conditions in the CVOR

• Ensure accountability and readiness of all surgical supplies before, during, and after procedures

• Work collaboratively with cardiovascular teams in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

• Support surgical care for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program OR military-based training program (Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard)

• Current CST certification from a nationally recognized certifying body (required and must be maintained)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)

• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience in a main OR setting

• Previous experience in CVOR and open-heart procedures is required

• Cardiothoracic-only experience is acceptable if it includes open-heart cases
