Certified Surgical Technologist (Contract to Perm) - Opportunity to Make a Difference

• Must have a GED or High School diploma.
• Must have 1 year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a CPR certification.
• Must be NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technician or other equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience.

• The salary for this position is $32 / hr.
• Benefits are competitive and negotiable.

• This is a Full-time position (Contract to Permanent Position).
• Weekly schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Shift.
• No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call.

• In this role, Surgical Technologists work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, instruments, and all necessary items for scheduled surgical procedures in accordance with physician's preference cards.
• Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, center/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
• Maintains and updates instrument cards/tray lists and surgeon's preference cards regularly.
• Follows the center exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
• Reports observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and acts according to policy.
