Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

Full time Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) wanted to join the Krejci Academy clinical services team. Rec Therapists will provide direct services to students in individual, peer pair and/or group modalities, where primary task is to build recreational leisure and social skills.

Must be able to respond to client behaviors in collaboration with other staff. Requires sufficient strength, agility and sensory acuity to be alert to student behavioral emergencies and to effectively implement the procedures of confrontation, avoidance, escape evasion and emergency transport with students weighing a minimum of 75 pounds in accordance to the agency approved Safety Care training.

Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans, creating goals and objectives for student's IEP, document progress and updates goals on a quarterly basis. Participate in collaboration meetings and provide information regarding student's progress. Attend IEP staffings and provide written and verbal reports of progress as well as recommendations for services.

Bachelor degree in Recreational Therapy required with CTRS certification. Experience with autism spectrum and developmental disabilities preferred.

Possess or eligible to obtain school bus driver permit to be able to drive students in agency van as necessary.
