Certified Welder

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Starting Rate: $25.20/ per hour
• Full-time position
• Monday-Thursday schedule
• Benefits available 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Work from verbal instructions/blueprints/drawings and or work orders.
• Setup equipment/prepare surfaces to be welded/weld parts
• Must be able to use hand tools such as grinders, etc.
• Must be able to perform all functions of the basic and advanced welder classification.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:

• May perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.

• Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.
• Maintain inventory of parts used in area.
• Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures
• Train basic welders.
• Must report all accidents/injuries to department supervisor immediately.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORKING CONDITION: General plant environment

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must pass required ASME welding test in 6G position.
• Must be able to read blueprints and layouts part to prints.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• Work involves stooping and bending.
• Must have mig/tig experience.
• Must be able to demonstrate good welding ability with minimal training.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

• A high school diploma or GED is required
