Job Description - Change Management Manager

Role Summary:

The Manager, Change Management leads the design and delivery of change management strategies for complex, cross-functional initiatives while managing and developing a team of change practitioners. This role partners closely with senior leaders, program teams, and shared services functions to ensure changes are adopted, sustained, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Manager serves as both a trusted advisor and a player-coach, balancing hands-on delivery with team leadership, prioritization, and continuous improvement of enterprise change capabilities.

The Work:

Change Strategy & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end change management for large or high-impact initiatives.

  • Develop and oversee integrated change strategies aligned to business objectives, program milestones, and enterprise standards.

  • Conduct and review change impact, readiness, and risk assessments; define mitigation strategies and course corrections.

  • Ensure change plans are pragmatic, scalable, and embedded into program delivery—not standalone activities

Stakeholder & Leader Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors, senior leaders, and program owners.

  • Partner with leaders to clarify sponsorship expectations and coach them on effective change leadership behaviors.

  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, resolving conflicts and aligning priorities across functions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of change consultants across multiple initiatives

  • Provide coaching, quality review, and feedback on change deliverables and approaches.

  • Support resource planning, workload balancing, and capability development across the team.

  • Foster a strong team culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Communications, Enablement & Adoption

  • Oversee development of change communications and engagement strategies, ensuring clarity, consistency, and audience relevance.

  • Guide enablement approaches to drive adoption and sustained behavior change.

  • Partner with other teams to ensure an integrated employee experience.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define success metrics and adoption indicators for change initiatives.

  • Monitor progress, surface risks, and recommend adjustments to improve outcomes.

  • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise change tools, standards, and playbooks.

  • Capture lessons learned and apply insights across future initiatives.

Here's what you need:

  • 8–12+ years of experience in change management, organizational transformation, or consulting roles.

  • Demonstrated experience leading change for large, complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experience managing, coaching, or formally leading change practitioners.

  • Strong working knowledge of formal change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent).

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and navigate ambiguity in matrixed environments.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
