Job Description - Channel Development Sales Manager

The Channel Development Sales Manager is a member of the Business Development team, and works to improve Calian Agriculture's market position and achieve financial growth. They are responsible for our current dealer network and act as the first point of contact for the dealer.
Working alongside the rest of the Business Development team, the Market Development Manager is responsible for growing and supporting existing dealer sales and seeking out new dealers and opportunities in the United States. They will manage the sales growth for our Fuel Lock product line in the USA.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for overall sales growth of Fuel Lock in the United States.
• Assess new markets for dealer recruitment and to generate product sales.
• Actively connect with networking contacts, professional affiliations, industry groups and end customers while maximizing existing relationships to promote brand awareness and generate sales.
• Analyze current company programs to find efficiencies and develop new programs to generate business growth in the United States.
• Responsible for forecasting sales, executing the sales plan and process including coordination or all necessary internal and external resources.
• Develop and deliver costing models, dealer programs and policies and pricing changes.
• Annually review the dealer programs and price lists, based on geographical location of the dealer they could have custom programs and pricing tailored to their marketspace.
• Communicate new programs to dealers and support dealers in using these programs (i.e. co-op marketing, inventory pre-order).
• Training on products (software/hardware), internal systems such as ticketing, ERP, HubSpot etc.
• Identify opportunities for marketing and sales campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Responsible for onboarding new dealers by providing product training (software and hardware), documentation on policies and programs, product support, warranty process.
o Also responsible for ongoing dealer training as needed.
• Support Calian Agriculture and its team at tradeshows and other external events.
• Liaise with CAG's customers and technical support team to assist customers, answering technical questions, understanding the clients' needs and recommending the right systems solutions.
• Provide ongoing, current feedback to Senior Leadership with relative market opportunities (both software and hardware) based on market knowledge, dealer, and customer feedback.
• Actively participate in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System

Qualifications
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or another related field preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in a business development, marketing, or account relationship role.
• Proven ability to build strong customer/client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Highly organized with good time management skills.
• Effective conflict resolution skills.
• Valid driver's license in the United States.
• Ability to travel within Canada/United States to attend tradeshows and sales meetings.

Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Additional Qualifications
• 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience.
• Experience with public speaking, and presentations.
• Experience with building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Effective communication skills both in person and virtual.
• Experience with driving growth and excellence.
• Experience with conflict resolution and problem-solving.
• Developed business acumen and proven decision-making experience.
• Experience in the Ag-Tech sector or petroleum industry is an asset.
