RN Registered Nurse – PCU Stepdown (Charge)

Full-Time | Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Salary: $30.76 – $41.50/hr. (based on experience)
Night Differential: +$4.75/hr.
Weekend Differential: +$3.00/hr.
National Certification Pay: +$2.00/hr.

Sign-On Bonus:

• $10K for Days
• $15K for Nights

Relocation: Yes, Offered on a case-by-case basis

Job Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Charge RN to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment while also supporting and leading the nursing staff on your unit.

Unit Details:

• 46-bed Cardiac PCU (3rd floor)
• All patients on telemetry
• Typical diagnoses: Afib, RVR, Pre/Post-Cath
• Manage a variety of drips (not currently titrating/starting)
• Patient Ratio: 4–5:1 (may be 5–6)

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical expertise and leadership as Charge RN.
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in collaboration with the care team.
• Monitor patients, administer medications, and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
• Support, guide, and mentor staff while ensuring safe, efficient operations.

• Current RN license in Florida (or compact with FL license within 60 days)
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• 1+ year acute care RN experience required
• 1+ year Charge RN experience required
• Critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills essential
• PC skills required
