Your Role 

Schedule: 

  • Full-time position, In-person 
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Add new titles to our internal database from library records and physical books 
  • Keep title entries updated, including those borrowed from other libraries  
  • Input bibliographic details accurately into our system 
  • Record updates for journals, bar journals, and other recurring publications 
  • Request digital files (PDFs and XML) from publishers, as needed 
  • Communicate with external contacts regarding newly received periodicals 
  • Follow up with publishers and vendors on missing or delayed materials 
  • Maintain and monitor the weekly list of claimed items 
  • Conduct audits to track missing or newly added titles for HeinOnline 
  • Check copyright status for new titles entering production 
  • Apply knowledge of U.S. and international copyright laws to ensure compliance 
  • Open and sort incoming mail related to weekly updates and journal shipments 

Salary: 

  • $20.55 to $21.55 per hour, depending on experience 

What You Bring 

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills, abilities, and interests: 

  • Strong people skills and experience helping customers 
  • Clear and constructive communicator 
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented 
  • Capable of making decisions and solving problems based on different situations 
  • Manages time well and meets deadlines 
  • Comfortable using Windows and Microsoft Office 
  • Type at least 50 words per minute 

Education & Experience 

  • Minimum:  
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent  
  • 1 year of working in an office setting 
  • Preferred:  
  • Associate’s degrees 
  • Experience working in publishing or a library setting
