Chef Assistant

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected client in the hospitality sector. They are looking for a motivated and reliable Chef Assistant to support their kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals in a dynamic and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the chef with food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients.

• Set up and stock kitchen stations with necessary supplies.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

• Support in plating and garnishing dishes before service.

• Store food items properly and in line with food safety regulations.

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.

• Receive deliveries and ensure proper inventory rotation.

• Follow all kitchen health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role is preferred but not required.

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and time management.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
