Chef de Partie

Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to assist with culinary operations at Saz’s Catering, located in the Walkers Point neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI.  We provide an exciting, high-volume kitchen that supports a wide variety of off-premise catering events and menu styles.  

Key Responsibilities of the Chef de Partie

• Lead shifts of culinary team members both at our Walker’s Point location and at off-site events, assigning tasks and monitoring execution
• Ensure the highest standards of food production through management of labor and food
• Assist culinary leadership in developing and placing orders
• Showcase our menu offerings by executing client tastings

This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive starting rate of $22/hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience. 

Qualifications

· Five (5) or more years culinary experience, including progressive experience in a supervisory role is required

· Formal culinary education is preferred, but not required

Requirements

• Squat, kneel, climb ladders or step stools as needed
• Grip objects and tools (including wet or slippery items)
• Stand up to 12 hours at a time
• Lift up to 50 lbs. to chest level and up to 30 lbs. overhead
• Consistent, timely attendance
• Understanding of metric system of measurement
