The Xara Collection in Malta is looking to recruit a Chef de Rang to join their team on a full-time basis.

Are you passionate about creative, modern cooking that is delivered with real personality and truly world-class hospitality? Then we invite you to join the De Mondion Restaurant as a Chef De Rang.

The De Mondion is a family-owned, unique and vibrant One Michelin Star restaurant, set atop the Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux offering breath-taking views of the island.

The group’s diversified portfolio comprises the award-winning fine dining de Mondion perched on Mdina’s bastions, the cozy al fresco Trattoria located in the palace’s courtyard but as well, catering services, and hr Xara Lodge, an events center just outside Mdina. The common thread: we pride ourselves in featuring cuisine that is second to none and focuses not only on the quality of its dishes but as well on innovation and experience.

Ideal Profile:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a Fine Dining or Michelin setting
• Confident and comfortable when taking car the station
• Knowledge in Wine and Food, with a passion for the hospitality industry
• Able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously with ease
• Excellent customer service, communication and leadership skills
• Approach situations using a calm, polite and effective manner

Responsibilities:

• Managing a station
• Coordinating work with team on duty
• Assisting in training of new employees and junior staff, ensuring they deliver the same quality service as the current team
• Overseeing dining and serving areas, as well as all the equipment in use and storage areas for organization and cleanliness
• Guaranteeing the highest quality of standards are met.
