Chemical Process Engineer

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be a versatile, hands-on engineer at a food additives plant located 30 miles from Winona, MN in nearby Wisconsin. This role involves optimizing plant processes, providing day-to-day operational support, designing and installing equipment, and assisting maintenance technicians. The plant equipment includes mixers, spray dryers, fermenters, PLC's, and bulk packaging equipment. Growth could be to any US or overseas sites that produce food additives, pharmaceuticals, Biotech products, and chemicals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and resolving issues that arise during production, including equipment malfunctions and process deviations
• Creating and updating P&IDs, and participating in Process Safety Analyses (PSAs), HAZOPs, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Leading projects to ensure objectives and milestones are met on time and within budget, using project management and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Ideal Experience:

• B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 1-5 years of in-plant troubleshooting experience - ideally from the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries. A strong second choice would be candidates with experience in high-speed packaging, widget production, or other mechanically oriented processes.
• Pluses include design through installation of plant equipment, Six Sigma, maintenance support, liquid and powder handling systems, as well as PLCs.
